Well that was pretty quick. Washed up NBA player Paul Shirley opened his big mouth and ESPN shoved a pink slip in it. ESPN fired him after his little online rant about the Haitian disaster, where he suggested that the Haitian people would be better off if they had used more condoms.
He was a part-time freelance contributor. The views he expressed on another site of course do not at all reflect our company's views on the Haiti relief efforts. He will no longer contribute to ESPN.
I guess Mr. Shirley will blame getting fired on the Haitians as well.
