This is truly a great and historic moment, not only for President Obama, but for our country. The world must now recognize that the citizens of the United States are indeed a giving and intelligent people who act to correct errors. We (collectively) elected Bush, and we roundly rejected his policies and his cronies with the election of Barack Obama.
President Obama is a calm, intelligent leader...the very type of leader the United States and the world needs in these turbulent times. It is very fitting that the Nobel Peace Prize recognizes President Obama for his achievements and the great promise of his leadership.
However, already the haters have crawled out of their caves. The news of Obama's win has not even been in the news for 24 hours, and out come the sour grapes. I won't repeat them or link to them today, because this is a positive post to allow us all to stop and savor the moment.
Tomorrow is another day. That's when I'll take out my bat to bash the haters.
