Part of the reason why one wants to be a business owner is to make money. I get that. But should you be so greedy that you would abuse the very people that enable you to earn your fortune just because you're mad that a man named Mittens didn't get into the White House?
The following businesses have leaders that have publicly threatened to either layoff employees or cut hours because Obama won the election:
Basically, a bunch of fast food joints that pay their employees a touch above minimum wage and offer very few benefits are whining that they can't afford to pay for Obamacare for their employees.
Papa John's? Seriously? Papa John's just started a 2 million free pizza promotion and is spending thousands of dollars on advertising and celebrity endorsements, but yet their CEO claims that the cost of Obamacare is a hardship? How about he not give away 2 million free pizzas? How about he not pay football players to hawk his pizzas?
Isn't it funny that the very businesses that value their employees the least are whining the most? These are businesses that mainly employee people part-time, just so they don't have to give out benefits. These are businesses with high staff turnover that treat their workers like the disposable containers the use to serve their food. They make millions by serving the public the cheapest, mass produced food served by underpaid labor...but the mere threat of having to add a half a cent to their expenses to improve the lives of their employees and they scream bloody murder.
Well, let's give them something to scream about. Don't eat their disgusting, fattening fast food until they agree to stop being so damn greedy and fully support Obamacare for their workforce. They think Obamacare is going to cut into their bottom line? How about we show them how an informed consumer can really cut into their bottom line.
Support the service workers who deserve a living wage and benefits, boycott the right-wing whiners.
