He goes on and on that he didn't know about racist columns that appeared in a newsletter shares his name. Hmmm.
He claims it's a smear tatic from his political enemies because he's gaining ground with "the blacks". Mmmhmmm.
Now I acknowledge that Ron Paul didn't write any of these ramblings himself, but they were printed in his newsletter. Wouldn't one at least casually keep an eye on something that carries your name? Especially since these columns are so over the top, these are just columns that have a slant, that you could make a judgement call on...these are outrageously racist, homophopic, xenophobic....well you name it.

This August 1990 issue. Features an article the says "bring back the closet".
This January 1991 issue Features a rant against Martin Luther King.
This October 1990 issue. Features a rant against a Sharpton lead demonstration by suggesting that "Next time, hold that demonstration at a food stamp bureau or a crack house."
This January 1994 issue. Features a rant about gay men and AIDS: "these men don't really see a reason to live past their fifties. They are not married, they have no children, and their lives are centered on new sexual partners."
Now these are very interesting. They don't prove that Paul is a racist. However what they do prove is that he is stupid. He has a newsletter with his name on it...and according to him people can just write whatever the hell they want to in it and he knows nothing about it. That's not to smart is it. Because having that stuff in a newsletter with his name implies endorsement of those views. And these aren't just garden variety bigotry or bias articles...this is some really hateful stuff, against well nearly everyone who isn't white and straight.
So you Ron Paul lovers...before you throw your heart into his campaign...check him out more closely.
