Obama Shines in the Debate
Last night's debates showed Hillary getting a little flustered. I guess her cloak of invincibility has been pierced and she isn't happy about it. Edwards even couldn't resist piling on as she got hotter under the collar. Obama however, remained cool and leader-like. I like what I'm seeing from him.
Obama: "I think we're in one of those moments right now. I think the American people are hungry for something different and can be mobilized around big changes; not incremental changes, not small changes.... the truth is, actually, words do inspire, words do help people get involved, words do help members of Congress get into power so that they can be part of a coalition to deliver health-care reform, to deliver a bold energy policy."
He's absolutely right. We don't have time to wait for baby steps. We've watched our country slowly go down the tubes for too long now. We need a change of direction now. I know all politicians promise change, the sun the moon and the stars...but at least he saying it. Now when he's elected (yes I said when) we'll see if he does it.
