I feel badly for Elizabeth...and I don't.Without bringing up Rielle Hunter's name, Sherri Shepherd broached the subject in the second segment. Sherri's estranged husband fathered a child with another woman, so she can relate.
"If the whole issue would go away, I'd be perfectly happy," Edwards said. "Somebody is obviously the father... The fact doesn't change the relationship with my husband."
She went on from there, after being pressed by Barbara.
"I don't know whose child this is. I think that's probably the reason there is no father written on the birth certificate, I understand. Whoever the father is, they're going to have to have to deal with the fact that they have this child. From my perspective... my relationship with my husband is not changed by this."
First I'm still pissed at both her and her horny hubby that they ran him for president knowing that this was bubbling in the background. If he had won the Dem nomination or the VP position this baby daddy scandal would have exploded leaving us with McCain as president and that crazy moose lady as VP. I'm not quite so sure I can forgive that kind of selfishness.
I do feel badly for Elizabeth however on a women as the sisterhood level. She is living a nightmare. Sick with cancer and scandalized publicly with a baby daddy situation with a mistress who won't shut up or fade into the background quietly. I wouldn't wish such a situation on my worse enemy.
John and his side-piece need to get the DNA done on that kid and give Elizabeth some closure on this issue. She has publicly stated she wouldn't leave her husband, so why keep the woman in limbo? Give her the bad news that the kid is his so she can make peace with it, or give her the good news that it isn't so she can put this behind her and tell that "videographer" what she can do with her camera.
