Well finally, a Republican that sees the light and switching over to vote for Obama. American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, abandoned the GOP ticket and voting for Obama 2012. She feels Romney's policies are wrong for the gay community and for women.
Nearly a year after voicing her support for former GOP candidate Ron Paul, Kelly Clarkson says she plans to vote for President Barack Obama in November.
Calling herself a "Republican at heart," the 30-year-old Texas native told the Daily Star: “I’ve been reading online about the debates and I’m probably going to vote for Obama again...I can’t support Romney’s policies as I have a lot of gay friends and I don’t think it’s fair they can’t get married."
But it isn't just lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) issues that are prompting Clarkson to switch party lines: “I’m not a hardcore feminist but we can’t be going back to the ’50s."
She then noted, "Obama is a great guy. I’ve met him and I’m a fan of Michelle, too." Link
If only every moderate Republican and Log Cabin (Gay) Republican can see the light to know that Romney is wrong for America. Romney sold his soul (just like McCain back in 2008) to cater to the Far Right, the reich wing, ultra-conservative Tea Party express. These extremists are targeting social issues with Gays and women based on their interpretation of Biblical laws. It is uncanny how their views are similar to how Muslims implement Sharia Laws to their land and to control their people.
When Civil Rights are oppressed and removed from a certain population of people, this is NOT a country of freedom. This becomes a dictatorship.
Thanks Kelly for recognizing the evils of this current GOP ticket. The Republicans have been hijacked by far right extremists and its time to put a stop to it!
