palin linkin resume

Well, here's a first I've seen! A jobless Sarah Palin has her resume posted on the popular networking site for professionals: LinkedIn. Guess she shouldn't have resigned her position as Alaska's Governor during this economic crisis. What kinda job is she looking for?

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Sarah Palin has placed her resume on LinkedIn.

Known as the “Facebook for professionals,” LinkedIn is a social media site that displays more than 50 million people’s resumes and allows for virtual business networking for those interested in keeping in touch or finding a job. Palin’s resume includes her position as “Vice Presidential Candidate” for the 2008 election and goes back to 1992 where she was the Council Member for the Wasilla City Council.

LinkedIn lists years of employment as well; her profile says Palin was the governor of the State of Alaska for two years and seven months.

Palin also notes that she is interested in “Job inquiries, expertise requests, business deals, reference requests, and getting back in touch.” Link

Sarah Palin’s Experience

What does she aim to achieve by posting this? Facebook is one thing, but LinkedIn is for career & professional networking.
Every intellectual person in the country knows who she is and her political background.
She must have other means of networking being who she is. This just opens up a can of mockery to her current unpolished career.

Putting Sarah Palin's name aside, if you were a hiring manager and you saw this resume, what would your immediate response be?
The last 3 positions were short-term. Its shows a negative trend!
Companies would like to see loyalty in a candidate's previous positions. Some hiring managers would like to see a minimum of 3 to 5 years; this is a good healthy record in a hired position before changing companies. It shows commitment and longevity.
The only position with any substance is the 6 years as Mayor of Wasilla.

But being Sarah Palin, her resignation as Governor does not help her resume.
And this will come back to haunt her if she makes a play for 2012! We'll see!
