Singer Chris Brown tries his hand a rapping, with the single "Holla at Me". If I close my eyes and don't look at the video, and I pretend it's some other young rapper, I could probably wrap my ears around giving this an average grade. But the visual of Chris Brown hopping around in his mismatched shoes, hard muggin' for the camera, is just too much.
I guess since rappers have started singing, there's no reason why singers can't start rapping...but Chris Brown? We know this is all about attention and saving his quickly sinking career. I guess it eats at him that while his talentless ex-girlfriend is on her own world tour, he, who can actually sing, can't even get any radio play. I bet it makes the palm of the hand he smacked her in the face with burn like fire.
