A Kiss is just a Kiss - but a Man-to-man kiss is just too racy for the American Music Awards! All this controversy upon Adam Lambert's performance at the AMA.
(CNN) -- The fallout from Adam Lambert's risqué American Music Awards performance keeps coming with "Good Morning America" canceling the singer's live performance scheduled for Wednesday morning.
ABC was flooded with more than 1,500 complaints, and the network sent an e-mail to potential concert goers letting them know that Lambert would not be performing on Wednesday.
"Given Adam Lambert's controversial live performance on the AMAs, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning," a spokesperson for the network said.
"The Early Show" on rival network CBS was quick to announce that they have booked Lambert to perform and discuss the controversy on Wednesday morning. Lambert shocked viewers with his sexually suggestive dance sequence that included simulated oral sex as well as Lambert kissing his male keyboardist. Link
Racy or not, the AMA is not Sesame Street nor Children's Network Television.
Whether it is a gay kiss with tongue, oral sex simulation, gyrating the pelvis, risque costumes - Adam Lambert is NOT the first entertainer to display over-the-top sexual overtones.
The bulk of complaints are probably coming from Christians that just cannot accept a man-to-man kiss - calling it unnatural, immoral ... blah, blah, blah! The religious zealotry is plaguing our nation and damning everybody for not being Christian-like and straight!
If Adam Lambert was a hot woman shoving her tongue down a male guitarist's throat, there would be less uproar!
Hell, if it was 2 hot but straight women "getting it on", still less uproar! Remember the Madonna, Britney and Christina kiss with tongue?!
We still have not evolved from the era of the Ellen Show - remember when they placed a warning label before the sitcom Where Ellen came out was aired.
Music entertainers can be too Straight for primetime - but forget it if it's too Gay!
