"There's only one thing different about Barack Obama when it comes to being a Democratic presidential candidate. He's half African-American," Nader said. "Whether that will make any difference, I don't know. I haven't heard him have a strong crackdown on economic exploitation in the ghettos. Payday loans, predatory lending, asbestos, lead. What's keeping him from doing that? Is it because he wants to talk white? He doesn't want to appear like Jesse Jackson? We'll see all that play out in the next few months and if he gets elected afterwards."Hmm. Because Obama is black he has to talk about ghettos, payday loans and poor people? Why? Only black people use payday loans or are poor? Does his black skin give him some kind of special ability to know about payday loans? Did Nadar wonder outloud why Hillary didn't talk about cooking? You know because only women cook things.
"I mean, first of all, the number one thing that a black American politician aspiring to the presidency should be is to candidly describe the plight of the poor, especially in the inner cities and the rural areas, and have a very detailed platform about how the poor is going to be defended by the law, is going to be protected by the law, and is going to be liberated by the law," Nader said. "Haven't heard a thing."
So according to Nadar, Obama is "talking white" because he talks about issues that affect everyone. According to Nadar, he's doing a disservice to poor people, because, you know...poor people only care about pay day loans...they could care less about their cousin, son or brother dying in Iraq.
According to Nadar, talking about election issues is "talking white". Therefore, only white politicians can talk about war, the economy, FISA, etc. Black politicians like Obama have to talk about welfare, payday loans, fried chicken and how not to swallow watermelon seeds.
Nadar. STFU. Go back to staring at your navel or eating alfalfa or whatever it is you do and leave the politics to the adults...you have already ruined one election too many. I am starting to slowly suspect that Nadar is on the Republican payroll, if he keeps this up, I will be totally convinced.
