Let me start this out by saying this is not about hatin' on the big girls. Every woman has it in her to be beautiful. But she has to find her own personal style...a style that works for her.
In case you don't know who this is, this is Gabourey "Gabby" Sidibe the actress from the movie Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire. The movie has tons of Oscar buzz, the critics are loving it, and all of the stars are making the rounds.
So with all of this Oscar buzz and publicity, can someone tell me why they insist on sending out Gabby Sidibe out in public with bejeweled mumuu's from the clearance rack at Lane Bryant's?
Can they not hire this girl a stylist to have a few outfits made for her that will flatter her? Clearly big women can look stylish. Peep Gabby's co-star Monique. Once you get past her fetish for hairy knees, Monique's style game is tight. Maybe Monique could loan out her stylist to Gabby for a minute.
All I'm saying, is somebody please, help a sista out. And while they're at it, someone please get Gabby some make-up that matches her complexion so she doesn't look like a cinnamon donut. Sheesh.
