Well now we have it. Apparently MJ was not just saying that Papa Joe abused him for show, sympathy or publicity...he believed it, because Papa Joe has been left out of his will.
Michael Jackson signed a will in 2002 providing for his children and his mom, but leaving nothing to daddy Joe -- this according to the Wall Street Journal.This will be interesting. I see litigation in the near future. I can't see Papa Joe taking this one on the chin.
As we reported yesterday, attorney John Branca has the will and plans to file it with the court within 30 days of the singer's death. According to the will, Jackson reportedly left his estate -- estimated at $1 billion -- to his mother, three children and one or more charities.
In ordinary families, death often brings out the worst in people...survivors fighting like cats and dogs over every last penny and momento. But this is the Jacksons, who are anything but normal...I expect the squabbling over cash and memorabilia to be a cage match.
Sigh.
