Wyclef's Haitian Charity Scandal - Money Went To A Mistress

News image

When the whispering first started about the shadiness of Wyclef's charity, Yele, I refused to participate in throwing shade on the organization when the Haitian people needed help most.  But I guess I have egg on my face now, because it seems the rumors where true.  Yele seems to have some creative book keeping, and found a way to pay Wyclef's jumpoff a over one hundred thousand do...

RIP Michael Jackson

michael jackson

This is one of the rare moments when I am at a loss for words.  Michael Jackson, the King of Pop is dead at the young age of 50.

Jackson was pronounced dead at about 2:26 p.m. PDT (5:26 EDT) after arriving at a Los Angeles hospital in full cardiac arrest, said Fred Corral of the Los Angeles County Coroner's office. The cause of death was not known and an autopsy would likely take place on Friday, he said.

Jackson's sudden death had been reported earlier by U.S. media, which said he was taken ill at his home and rushed to the hospital by paramedics who found him not breathing when they arrived.

A loss for the music industry and the enterainment business as a whole.  He was one of a kind.

We are left with his legacy...his music.  All of those songs that touch are hearts, that make us dance, that make us want to sing...they are his gift to us all.

Thank you Michael.  RIP.

In the back on my mind, I never thought Jackson would reach old age. I was surprised he lived this long. There was something about his stardom, which reminded me of Monroe, Dean, and Phoenix.

He had his problems, but he was a consummate entertainer.

He will be missed.

I agree with Blanca. He was a musical genius robbed of his childhood and never fully recovered.

I grew up when my older siblings had his 8-tracks (yes, you read that correctly) and his music guided me through my own self-discovering, angst-ridden teen years. His music could wipe the snotty, teenage girl snarl right off my face and into a huge grin you could see for miles. His legacy will live on in my son as I will make sure he knows that before there was a Justin, Britney, or Chris Brown (ugh), there was Michael and he set the standard that has been often imitated but NOT yet duplicated!! RIP, Michael and condolences to his friends, family and fans!!!
